Comparing The Latest DSi Console With The Lite

Things to be aware of on the DSi

On comparing the DSi to the DS lite, it's no real surprise that you will pay more for the DSi. It was always likely to cost more given the addition features like the bigger screen, two cameras and new software.

However if you already own a DS lite it may seem expensive at first to upgrade but then if you consider that you will have this new console for another 3 years then that price appears good value for money.

That being said, if you already an owner of a DS Lite, the upgrade may seem a big step. However consider the fact for a moment that the lastest DSi console will last you another three years at least and you will soon begin to see the value in the new price. Just make sure you shop around to get the best DSi price you can to reduce the impact.

Something that should be noted is that the lastest DSi console is not backward compatable with the older Game Boy Advance games. The latest Dsi console does NOT have a GBA slot, so be aware that games such as the Guitar Hero Pack for Game Boy Advance will not work.

However the lastest DSi console does have a backward compatability with over one thousand existing DSi Lite games.

Nintendo have added additional memory to the DSi instead of the GBA slot.
